Three men armed with knives robbed a convenience store in Leicester this morning.
The incident took place on Aylestone Road at around 7am this morning. Police were called to the Co-op store after receiving reports of the robbery, near the junction with Middleton Street.
The men threatened staff with the knife and made off with a quantity of cash.
No-one was injured during the incident and the store continues to remain open.
The men were wearing black clothing and had their faces covered. They made off on foot.
Police are conducting initial enquiries at the scene and have asked for anyone who saw the men in the area before the incident or saw them leaving the store to contact them.
