A car park has been cordoned off in Loughborough after a body was found inside a burning car early this morning.
Police were called by the fire service at around 6.20am today to the Morrisons car park in Maxwell Drive.
Firefighters had to force open the door of the car, revealing the body of the man. Witnesses say thick black smoke poured out of the car as soon as the door was opened.
The car park has been closed off. A large white tent has been erected next to the vehicle in the car park as forensic officers carry out their investigations.
