An investigation has been launched after a body was recovered from a canal in Leicestershire.
Police were called to the area near Blue Banks Avenue, Glen Parva, just after 9am this morning.
A dog walker spotted the body in the canal and contacted Police.
Emergency services arrived and recovered the body, believed to be that of a male.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “Officers were called shortly after 9am today to a report of a body in the canal, near Blue Banks Avenue, Glen Parva.”
“The body of a man has been recovered. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner. Identification of the deceased is a matter for the coroner.”
