Leicestershire Police and forensic officers are at the scene of a property in Braunstone Frith, after the discovery of a body.
Police have confirmed they were called to the housing estate yesterday night, just after 10pm, to a property in Augusta Close.
When officers entered the building they found the body of a man inside.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, however police remain at the scene whilst enquires continue.
In a statement, Leicestershire Police said: “Shortly after 10.15pm yesterday we received a report of a sudden death at a property in Augusta Close, Leicester.”
“Officers attended and found the body of a man inside. His death is not believed to be suspicious and police remain at the scene.”
A file for the coroner is being prepared.
