A body was found on a railway track in Leicester yesterday evening.
Emergency services were called to the railway track near Old Saffron Lane at around 5pm yesterday, after after the discovery of the body.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details of the deceased have been released.
Leicestershire Police have said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
In a statement British Transport Police said: “Officers were called at 5.06pm on September 9 to an area of railway near Old Saffron Lane in Leicester following a report of a casualty on the tracks.”
“Paramedics also attended, however, sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
