The body of a man which was found off the coast of Kent has been confirmed as missing Leicester man Michal Zygan.
His body was found near Dover on 30 July.
Mr Zygan, who is originally from Poland, went missing after he left his home in Hopefield Road, Leicester, on the morning of Wednesday 25 July.
He was first reported missing by one of his housemates on Thursday evening (July 26).
CCTV images of Mr Zygan walking through Bede Park, towards the canal towpath, were widely shared by Leicestershire Police, in their extensive efforts to find him.
Mr Zygan’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for HM Coroner by Kent Police.
Mr Zygan’s next of kin has been informed.
