A 14-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a man was critically injured in a street assault in the early hours of Friday morning.
The attack took place on Middleton Street in the Aylestone area of Leicester at about 4.30am on Friday 17th February.
A 27-year-man was found bleeding heavily after being attacked on his way to work.
Two other boys, aged 13 and 15, have also been charged with robbery. The boys can’t be named for legal reasons.
The 14-year-old is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 20 February. The two other boys, will appear at the same court on 10 March 2017.
Two girls aged 14 and 13, who were also arrested in connection with the incident, have been released with no further action.
The victim remains in hospital in a serious, but stable condition.
