Cannabis worth £250,000 found in property in Oadby

Police have found cannabis plants worth £250,000 in a property in Oadby yesterday morning.

The suspected cannabis factory was found in a property on Quinton Rise, near Harborough Road.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and he remains in Police custody.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “A man has been arrested after a warrant was executed earlier today at a property in Quinton Rise, Oadby.”


“The warrant was executed under section 22 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.”

“Officers recovered more then 300 plants believed to be cannabis.”

“The man who was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis remains in police custody.”
