Cars set alight in Melton Mowbray

Police are investigating after five vehicles were damaged by fire in Melton Mowbray.

Officers were called to Dieppe Way and nearby Drummond Walk at 4.30am on Saturday morning after receiving a report of the damage.

Most of the five parked vehicles were set alight in Drummond Walk with only one reportedly damaged in Dieppe Way. The fire damaged over 70% of some of the vehicle.

Three fire crews were sent to tackle the fires from Melton Mowbray Fire Station.


The Police are carrying out a number of enquiries to find those responsible for the damage.
