A 17 year-old-boy is in hospital after being stabbed in Leicester City Centre. The incident took place yesterday afternoon on Yeoman Lane near the Curve Theatre.

Police say the victim was involved in a fight with a group of people at around 5:15pm. One member of the group then stabbed the boy in the torso.

The suspect made off on foot towards Yeoman Street and Humberstone Gate. The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Yeoman Lane was closed for several hours as police conducted their enquiries. CCTV from the area is being reviewed and Police are keen to speak to anybody who witnessed the incident.
