Couple assaulted in Leicester city centre

Leicestershire Police are appealing for help after after an assault in Leicester city centre.

A couple were assaulted on Lower Brown Street at around 2.30pm on Tuesday 31 July. It’s believed there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the assault.

The victims, both in their 20s, received injuries that required medical attention.

A 25-year-old man has been questioned by Police in relation to the incident and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

The incident took place in broad daylight in a busy area of the city.
