Police have named the 33-year-old driver who died after a serious collision on the A46 in Leicestershire.
John Lee, from Sileby, died at the scene of the crash after the Volkswagen Golf he was driving collided with another car near the Hobby Horse roundabout.
The Police are appealing for the public to come forward with information if they haven’t already spoken to them.
The incident happened just north of the Hobby Horse roundabout, at around 11.40pm on Thursday 27 September. The two vehicles involved were the black VW Golf Mr Lee was driving and a silver Toyota Yaris.
The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment and was later discharged. Mr Lee was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Constable Pete Davies said: “Today I’m asking for anyone who was travelling on the A46 that night to cast their mind back.”
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the collision take place, or who saw either vehicle prior to the collision occurring.”
“I’d like to ask anyone who may have information, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, and who has not yet come forward to contact me. Likewise, if you have dashcam footage that you think would assist with my investigation, then please give me a call.”
