A large amount of jewellery has been stolen in a burglary at a Leicestershire house.
The burglary happened at a property in Forest Rise, Oadby, yesterday afternoon (Thursday 14 June) between 2pm and 3pm.
The burglars gained entry by smashing a window at the rear of the property. Nobody was at home at the time of the incident.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the area and who may have information regarding the incident to make contact.
An amount of cash and some electrical equipment, including an iPad and laptop, were also stolen.
Detective Constable Adrian Davies said: “The incident happened in the afternoon when we believe a number of people were in the area.”
