It’s a big summer for new boss Craig Shakespeare and the Foxes have been busy in the transfer market. Here’s a round up of City’s deals and activity so far:
The Manchester City striker is believed to be close to making a £25m move to Leicester City. The 20-year-old is in advanced talks with the Foxes and is thought to be keen to make the switch.
Iheanacho has scored 21 goals in 64 games in all competitions since making his debut for Manchester City in 2015.
Leicester have signed Sevilla captain Vicente Iborra for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £10.5m. The 29-year-old midfielder, who helped Sevilla win three successive Europa League titles after joining them in 2013, has signed a four-year deal.
He has made 172 appearances for Sevilla, scoring 30 goals, since joining them from Levante.
Leicester City have signed Hull City defender Harry Maguire in a £17m deal. The 24-year-old has agreed a five-year deal.
Maguire ticks plenty of boxes – he has Premier League experience, plays plenty of games and does not seem to suffer injury too regularly
Oxford United manager Michael Appleton has joined Leicester City as Craig Shakespeare’s assistant. Appleton guided Oxford to automatic promotion from League Two and two Wembley finals in the Football League Trophy in his three years at the club.
The 41-year-old previously worked with Shakespeare at West Brom.
It’s been a promising start for the club and Shakespeare will hope he can capture his outstanding targets, particularly Iheanacho, over the next couple of weeks.
