Leicester man charged with attempted murder of two women

A man from Leicester has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of two women.

James McDonald, from the Troon area of the city, appeared in court charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The incident took place near Boston in Lincolnshire on Friday 18 May. The 31-year-old is alleged to have attempted to murder Susan McDonald and Helen Seymour.

McDonald was also in possession of a bladed article, believed to be a kitchen knife, which he has also been charged with.

No pleas were entered and he has been remanded in custody. He will appear at Lincoln Crown Court for trial at a later date.

No details have been released on the condition of the two women.
