After the recent cold and wet weather, the good news is that we’ll see warmer weather for the Bank Holiday weekend.
The changeable weather over the last week or so will be pushed aside by an area of high pressure from the south. This will bring a good deal of fine and dry weather for many of us from Friday and for the weekend.
Today will start off on a cool and cloudy note, however it will quickly turn dry, with the clouds developing breaks to allow warm sunny spells.
Saturday is expected to be another dry day with light winds and plenty of warm sunny spells. The maximum temperature will be 21 °C.
The outlook for the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend is plenty of sunshine with some light winds. The dry and warm weather is expected to continue into Tuesday.
Chris Bulmer, Deputy Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office said: “We can’t promise wall to wall sunshine for everyone this Bank Holiday weekend, however, it’s looking like a most of us will get to see some warm sunshine.”
“For Bank Holiday Monday itself it is possible that temperatures could be near record-breaking for some parts of the country.”
