Leicester will host its first ever summer outdoor cinema this weekend.
The event will take place tomorrow (5 August) at the Leicester Racecourse ground in Oadby, in association with The Event Planning Company.
For one day only, three movies will be screened on an outdoor LED screen. The first movie which will be aired is Disneys animation UP, followed by the 2016 remake of The Jungle Book, ending with the all-time family favourite, The Goonies.
It promises to be a wonderful, fun filled, family day out for all, with the screening of the first film beginning at 11am, and the last one showing at 8pm.
People attending the event can bring their own picnic blankets and food. However, food and drink stalls will be set up for people that wish to buy food on the day.
The event has been organised by the Dorothy Goodman Specialists School, which provides education for children and young adults with learning disabilities. The aim is to raise money for young people with learning difficulties.
