Police have named the man who died outside Leicester Railway Station early on Wednesday morning.
The victim was 30-year-old Dilovan Fazil Mohammed of no fixed address.
Rajesh Chhagan Khunti, 30, from Leicester has been charged with the murder of Mr Mohammed.
Police initially believed the victim was killed in a hit and run case. However the post-mortem revealed he had been stabbed to death.
CCTV footage also showed Mr Mohammed staggering along London Road before collapsing just after midnight.
Mr Khunti will appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday 11 March).
Police have appealed for anyone who was in the area of the railway station in the early hours of Wednesday, and who saw Mr Mohammed, to contact them.
