A man suffered “significant injuries” following an assault in a pub in Loughborough last weekend.
The incident happened on Saturday 19 May on Maxwell Drive just after 11.30pm.
The 36-year-old was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment and has since been discharged.
Two men, who are both 27-years-old and from Loughborough, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
They have both been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Detective Constable Sarah Poppleton, the investigating officer, said: “This was a serious assault in a pub where a man suffered significant injuries.”
“I’d like to speak to anyone who was in the pub on Saturday night and who saw what happened. Whatever information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, it could assist with my investigation.”
