A man has been arrested for attempted murder after a stabbing incident in Leicester yesterday.
The 26-year-old was arrested earlier today in connection with a stabbing in the New Parks area.
Emergency services were called to St Oswalds Road at 5.26pm on Sunday 5 January, where a man was found in the street with stab wound injuries.
The victim, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
The man arrested remains in police custody whilst officers continue with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Tim Lindley said: “We have made this arrest and are questioning the man in custody. Our enquiries do remain very much ongoing and we continue to ask anyone with any information in relation to the incident to make contact.”
