A man has appeared in court charged with a murder in the Evington area of Leicester.
Carl Pask, 47, was found dead in his flat in Kimberley Road in March this year. A subsequent post-mortem found that he had died as a result of an assault.
Christopher Pendery, 39, from Braunstone, has been charged with his murder and appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court.
Mr Pask was described as a “devoted husband” and “loving dad” of two children in a newspaper obituary.
Police said he regularly attended Trinity Life Church in Upper Tichbourne Street, Leicester, and The Salvation Army in Kildare Street.
