Man dies after car park attack in Beaumont Leys

A man has died after an attack in a car park in the Beaumont Leys area of Leicester early this morning.

Police were called to Canonsleigh Road at around 6.20am on Sunday morning, where a man was found with life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he later died. The victim is believed to be in his 20’s.

A cordon has been put in place while a forensic examination of the scene is conducted and detectives try to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death.


Neighbours say they are shocked by the death and a number of residents have expressed concern on social media.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has information about how the man sustained his injuries.
