A man was arrested after a car crashed and flipped onto its roof in Leicester’s Belgrave Road.
The incident happened at around 2.30am on Sunday (25 November), at the junction of Belgrave Road with Westbourne Street.
The driver left the car on the road and fled after the crash. The road was blocked as a result of the crash.
Fire crews and East Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene, after initial reports of someone being trapped inside the vehicle.
However, when they arrived they found no one trapped. They made the vehicle safe and then left the scene.
The driver was later located by Police. He was checked for injuries and was arrested after he failed to provide a breath test.
The driver was charged in the morning and will be attending court.
