A man was hit and injured by a train in Leicestershire last night.
It happened near Sileby Railway Station, between Loughborough and Leicester.
British Transport Police (BTP) said they were called to an unmanned train station at 11.55pm yesterday (12 February) after receiving a report of a casualty.
It’s believed the man was sitting on the edge of the platform, with his legs hanging over the edge, when he was struck by the train.
The man was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The incident blocked train services between Leicester and Loughborough, while Police dealt with the situation.
The line was reopened at 12.45am, however delays remained with scheduled services, with normal service resuming this morning.
