Police are appealing for sightings of a man who died following an assault in Leicester.
31-year-old Ashley Walker died in hospital on Wednesday (30 January) after becoming unwell a week earlier.
While receiving treatment in hospital, he told a relative he had been assaulted on Tuesday 22 January at his home address in Tatlow Road, Leicester.
After Police were made aware of the alleged assault, they arrested a 50-year-old woman on suspicion of murder on Wednesday and a 28-year-old Leicester man was arrested yesterday. They both remain in police custody.
A third arrest was also made this morning, with a 37-year-old Leicester man arrested on suspicion of murder.
A scene preservation remains in place in Tatlow Road while enquiries are being carried out at the scene. A post-mortem examination has been carried out and further tests are being conducted.
Detective Inspector Jon Blockley said: “Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death and further details about the reported assault and it’s important we build up a complete picture of Ashley’s movements in the days before he was admitted to hospital.”
“We know he was last seen by his family on 21 January and was taken to hospital on 24 January.”
“We have been carrying out house to house enquiries and speaking to his neighbours but we would still ask anyone who may have visited the area during this time and seen him to contact us.”
Anyone who saw Ashley, or has any information relating to the case, is asked to contact Police on 101 quoting incident 459 of 29 January
