Police were called to Welford Road in Leicester after a man was stabbed in the busy street.
The incident happened yesterday (Thursday 16 May) just after 4pm on a section of Welford Road.
When Police arrived, they found a man in his forties lying injured on the pavement.
It is believed the victim sustained a single stab wound. He was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Officers cordoned off the area. The road was later reopened after an investigation of the scene.
Leicestershire Police have confirmed no arrests have been made, however enquiries into the incident are continuing.
A spokesman for the Police said: “We were called to Welford Road just after 4pm after a man was found injured.”
“The victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital suffering from a stab wound, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”
