Man who died on M1 after getting out of car named

A man who died following a collision on the M1 in Leicestershire on Sunday morning has been named by Police.

24-year-old Frazier Gray was killed in the early hours of Sunday 9th September on the southbound carriageway of the motorway.

Mr Gray’s black Audi A3 left the carriageway between junctions 20 and 21. His car came to rest on an embankment.

However, when he got out of the car, he was then involved in a collision with a silver Ford Fiesta.

Mr Gray was taken to hospital where he subsequently died.

The M1 southbound was closed for nine hours while officers dealt with the incident.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated and officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed any part of the collision.

They would especially like drivers who have dashcam footage and may have captured the incident to get in touch as they may be able to help with the investigation.
