Leicestershire Police have released the names of the two people who were found dead in a property in Loughborough.
The bodies of 45-year-old Neil Barrass and 42-year-old Nicola Roberts were discovered at an address in Barrett Drive, Loughborough on Monday 30 April.
The body of Mr Barrass was identified by his father at Leicester Royal Infirmary yesterday. Ms Roberts was identified by her daughter in the same hospital.
Detectives have carried out extensive enquiries and, at this stage, officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
A post-mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday evening. An inquest into their deaths was opened by the coroner today.
Flowers and tributes have been placed outside the couple’s house. Neighbours have expressed shock and disbelief over the incident, describing the area as a “little community where everyone knows each other”.
The house remains cordoned off with forensic officers still carrying out their enquiries at the scene.
