Two men injured after fight involving ten men in Leicester city centre

Two men have been injured after a mass brawl involving 10 people in a city street in Leicester.

Police believe the fight happened at about 9.45pm yesterday (11 October) in Humberstone Road. A large metal pole was used in the incident.

When officers attended the scene they found two men who were injured in the area of Clyde Street and Erskine Street.

Both men were taken to hospital, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Police investigating the incident recovered a silver metal pole from the scene of the incident.

A 22-year-old man, from Leicester, has been arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody.

Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

Sergeant Mark Boon said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the areas of Humberstone Road, Clyde Street or Erskine Street yesterday evening to think back to anything you saw or heard which caused you concern.”

“If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, then please make contact. If you have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area then please check this to see if it holds any information which could help us.”
