Two men arrested after stabbing in Leicester restaurant

Two men have been arrested after a stabbing in a Leicester restaurant earlier this week.

The men are being held on suspicion of attempted murder after two 19-year-olds were stabbed during a fight.

Emergency services were called to the American diner Tinseltown, on Upper Brown Street on Monday 15 July.

When they arrived, they found two victims with stab wounds. The men were taken to hospital for treatment and they have now both been discharged from hospital.

Armed officers executed warrants at two addresses in the city yesterday morning. A 23-year-old man was arrested at a property in Vancouver Road and a 22-year-old man was arrested at a property in Edmonton Road.

Both men remain in police custody and enquiries are continuing into the incident.

Police would still like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Upper Brown Street on Monday evening and has information on the incident.
