Motorcyclist dies two weeks after crash near Leicestershire

A motorcyclist who was involved in serious collision last month has died in hospital.

The crash took place on Friday 22 February at around 6pm in Bottesford, at the crossroads between the A52 and Belvoir Road.

Leicestershire Police said the collision involved a silver Triumph Street Triple RX motorbike and a silver Seat Ibiza.

The Seat Ibiza was travelling along Belvoir Road towards the A52 and the motorcycle was travelling along the A52 when the collision occurred at the crossroads.

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he died yesterday (Thursday 7 March). No one else was injured.

Detectives from the serious collision investigation unit would like to speak to anyone who may have been travelling in the area on Friday evening and may have witnessed the collision.
