Police have launched a murder investigation after the woman found dead in a car crash yesterday is believed to have died before the collision.
Police found the body in the rear of the car after an accident between a vehicle and a motorbike on Desford Road, Enderby at around 11.45am yesterday.
Initially officers thought the woman had died due to the road accident. However, following a post mortem examination, the results showed her death was not consistent with that of a road traffic collision.
Detectives are conducting enquiries to establish the cause of death. Formal identification of the woman has not yet taken place.
Two men aged 27 and 28 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody, where they are being questioned by detectives.
