Police have named the deceased man found in a property in the New Parks area of Leicester.
He has been identified as 60-year-old Peter West. He was found in a house on Glazebrook Road on Tuesday 20 June.
His death is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are continuing to understand exactly what happened.
A 35-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man who were originally arrested on suspicion of preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body, have since been re-arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. They remain in police custody.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who visited Peter’s address in the past few weeks.
Detective Inspector Michelle Keen said: “It’s important we build up a complete picture of the weeks prior to Peter’s death and are keen to hear from anyone who may have come into contact with him or visited the house, where he lived.”
“We are in the process of carrying out house to house enquiries and speaking to neighbours to establish who may have visited the property in the last few weeks. We would still ask anyone who may have visited the address during this time to contact us.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101, quoting incident 251 of 20 June.
