A pedestrian is in a serious condition in hospital after he was hit by a car in Leicestershire over the bank holiday.
The collision happened on Nottingham Road, in Ashby, at around 12.55am on Monday 27 May.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was crossing the road when a white Vauxhall Corsa collided with him.
The man sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The driver and passengers in the Corsa were uninjured.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or saw either the pedestrian or Corsa beforehand, to come forward.
