Police chase car for four miles after it failed to stop in Leicester

A car which failed to stop for Police led to a four mile pursuit in Leicester yesterday.

The white Audi was spotted at around 3.45pm on Narborough Road yesterday and was then pursued by officers to Blaby after it refused to stop.

The car was then lost by officers in Blaby village.

Residents took to social media to query why there was a large police presence in the area. One resident queried “Does anyone know what all the Police are about in Blaby? Seem to be on a search in unmarked cars.”

Another resident added: “Also a police car/van with police dogs barking loudly on ex-Waitrose car park”.

A third person added: “I can only presume they lost them, police have been circling round the Blaby area for quite some time now.”

Leicestershire Police confirmed that their officers were involved in a pursuit and a spokesman said “Officers remain in the area looking for the driver and the vehicle.”
