Woman racially abused and assaulted on Narborough Road

A 21-year-old woman was racially abused and attacked after she went to pick up a takeaway on Narborough Road.

The incident happened on Paton Street, near the Barclays Bank on Narborough Road, on Saturday 18th November at around 8.30pm.

As she was trying to drive away, a woman who was with a man and three children, started to shout racial abuse at her.

The victim got out of her car and was then assaulted by the woman.

The attacker is described as white, in her late 30s and with blonde hair in a bob. She was wearing a black or khaki coat and was carrying a football clapping baton.

Leicestershire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which they’ve described as a “racially aggravated assault”.
