Man attacked in racist incident in McDonald’s in Leicester

A man has been attacked in McDonald’s in what Police believe was a ‘racial incident’.

The 64-year-old white man was verbally abused in the restaurant on Market Place in Leicester city centre. He was then attacked after leaving the restaurant.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened on 2nd January between 8.30am and 9am, to come forward with information.

The man said after being racially abused inside McDonalds, he was then punched outside the building, sustaining a black eye and bruising to his face.

Police have described the suspect as black, over 6ft tall with black dreadlocks and a “blemished complexion”.
