Driver racially abused and repeatedly punched in face in road rage attack

A driver was racially abused and punched in the face during a road rage incident in Leicester.

The incident happened on Queniborough Road in the Belgrave area of the city at around 10am on Friday 16 February.

The victim, a man, was driving a Volkswagen Passat when the driver of a black Ford Focus Titanium overtook him, causing him to stop.

The victim wound his window down to speak to the driver of the Ford Focus and was racially abused before being repeatedly punched in the face.

The suspect is Asian and in his late 20s to early 30s. He is well-built and between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall.

He has short black, receding hair with stubble and was wearing brown round glasses.

He speaks with a local accent and was wearing a black bomber jacket and black trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Leicestershire Police on 101, quoting crime number 111 of 16 February.
