Free visit to Santa’s Grotto in Leicester city centre

The finishing touches to Santa’s Grotto in New Market Square is now complete and Santa is ready to meet all those excited little ones.

Set around a 5-metre christmas tree, with a tree lined route leading to a snow-topped grotto, there really is an enchanting festive scene in the air.

Children will be able to meet Father Christmas for free and each child will be given a small christmas gift.

The event has been organised and funded by Leicester City Council and Leicester Market.

Families who want to meet Santa are advised to wrap up warm, as there may be a queue to visit the grotto.

Located near Santa’s grotto is Leicester’s market and its food hall, where everything you need for a festive feast is available.

Santa will be in the square from 10am to 6pm on Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays. He is also available during weekdays from 11am to 6pm.

Santa will be in his grotto every day until Saturday 23 December.
