Another well known retail name in Leicester City Centre has closed. Sheehans Music store, which has operated in Leicester for 32 years has closed down.

It comes a day after department store Fenwick said it was going to close its store in the city.

The business employed 12 full-time staff at its London Road store. In addition, the store had three repair workshops which serviced and repaired guitars, orchestral strings and wind instruments.

In a statement on their Facebook page, the company said:

“It is with great sadness that we have to tell you that Sheehans has closed down. We would like to thank everyone who has been part of the Sheehans story during the last 32 years. We have had some great times together.

We will post a further announcement in the next few days to let you know about arrangements for instrument rentals and repairs”.
