Man cut free from sports car after crash in Leicestershire

A man has been taken to hospital after his car was involved in a collision with two lorries in Leicestershire.

The incident happened at 2.45am this morning at Magna Park on the A5.

The road was closed for over two hours, while emergency services dealt with incident. A diversion route was in place during this time.

A spokesman for the Fire Service said: “A male casualty was trapped within the car and had to be cut free by crews.”


“He was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of Coventry in Walsgrave”.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or the vehicles beforehand, is asked to call Leicestershire Police on 101.
