Police appeal after serious stabbing in Beaumont Leys

47-year-old man suffers head injuries in Leicester assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found seriously injured outside a pub in Beaumont Leys. Emergency services were called to the area at 12.30am on Friday 16 September, where a 24-year-old man had been stabbed in the abdomen.

It is believed he sustained his injuries in an incident which happened outside the Keeper’s Lodge Pub and he is currently in a stable condition in hospital.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area or has any information about the offender.

Detective Inspector Chris Baker, who is leading the investigation, said:


“The man has been the victim of an extremely violent attack and his injuries have been caused by a weapon. It is likely that the person, or people, responsible had blood on their hands and clothing when they left the scene. If you saw anyone behaving suspiciously, or if someone you know came home with blood on their hands and clothing, please come forward and tell us.”
