A 36-year-old man was stabbed following an attack on Humberstone Road in Leicester over the weekend
The incident happened near the the junction with Kent Street at around 4.20am on Saturday 2 June. Two other men were also punched during the inident.
It is believed the victims were approached by a man and a woman shortly before the incident took place.
The victim of the stabbing was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The other two victims sustained minor injuries.
The man and woman are both described as Asian, with the man believed to be in his 20s or 30s.
Enquiries are continuing into the incident and detectives are appealing to anyone with any information to contact police.
Detective Constable Imran Isat said: “This incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning near to a main road. We are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything in relation to the incident to make contact.”
“If you have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time, we also ask that you get in touch. Your information could help us.”
