Leicestershire Police have said the man stabbed in Leicester city centre yesterday night remains in hospital with ‘serious injuries’.
The incident is believed to have taken place at the Nando’s restaurant on Highcross Lane, near the Highcross Shopping Centre.
Emergency services were called at around 10.20pm yesterday, where they found the man with stab wound injuries. In the interest of public and officer safety, armed officers were also deployed to the scene.
A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident. He currently remains in police custody.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward and would like to hear from anyone who can help with their investigation.
