A teenager who was seriously injured in a road traffic collision near Coalville over the weekend has died in hospital.
The incident took place at 12.35am on Saturday morning (18 August). The 19-year-old, who was the driver of a grey Vauxhall Astra, collided with a lorry on the A511 on Ashby Road, Sinope.
Two other teenagers who were travelling in the Astra were also injured in the accident. They remain in hospital.
The driver of the lorry was not injured in the collision.
Detective Constable Pete Davies from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision or may have dashcam footage that can help with our enquiries.”
The lorry driver was not injured. No arrests have been made.
