Two teenagers stabbed in Leicester street

Two teenage boys have been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Leicester. 

Police were called to Oxon Way near Evington shortly before 6pm today, where they found the two victims.

It’s believed the young boys were involved in a fight, with witnesses reporting hearing shouting and screaming.

Both boys were taken to hospital with stab wounds. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.


There was a heavy police presence in the area as officers tried to establish the full circumstances around the incident.

Detective Inspector Jim Hatton said: “Officers currently remain at the scene carrying out full enquiries into this incident including speaking with the victims, checking CCTV and speaking with people in the area.”

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Oxon Way this evening, and who has any information in relation to the incident.”
