A terminally-ill woman from Leicester returned from holiday last month to find her house had been burgled while she was away.
The woman in her 50s was left distraught after finding her house on Headley Road had been burgled some time between 3:30pm on Thursday 6 December and 11:00am the next day.
A number of sentimental items were taken including valuable jewellery, a Ford transit van, a laptop and alcohol. The jewellery included a Victorian-style 9ct gold ring, a 14ct gold Greek key design ring, a 9ct gold sapphire and diamond necklace and an 18ct Indian gold necklace with a letter ‘H’ pendant.
