Three teenagers have died and another left seriously injured in a car crash yesterday afternoon.
Two of the teenagers, 18 year-old Trudi-Mae Kennel and boyfriend Ryan Barber, 19, studied at a Leicestershire College.
The teenage couple died in a horror crash along with their friend at 4.35pm on Sunday 16 July in Atherstone, Warwickshire.
They were travelling in a grey BMW 3 series which is believed to have veered off the road and collided into a tree.
The fourth teenager, who police haven’t named, has been transferred to Coventry Hospital. It is thought he was a rear seat passenger in the car.
Ryan’s mother Tammi Garcia Sanchez wrote a heartbreaking tribute to her son on Facebook.
She wrote: “It’s with a broken heart… That my baby boy Ryan Barber passed away yesterday afternoon in a car accident along with his beautiful girlfriend.”
“I’m so sorry the people who are reading this that I havent told… My heart is broken and I’m not sure how life will carry on without my baby boy.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision. Sergeant Carl Stafford from Warwickshire Police said:
“We are in the very early stages of the investigation and I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police as soon as possible quoting reference 282 of 16 July.”
