CCTV released after two women assaulted in Leicester city centre

Police have launched an enquiry and would like to identify the man in the image after two women were assaulted in Leicester city centre.

The incident happened on Saturday 16 June, between 10.30 and 10.45pm in Church Gate.

Officers say two women were spat at following an argument. One of the women was then hit in the face and knocked to the floor, causing injuries to her lip and the back of her head.

She was taken to hospital and has subsequently been discharged.

Police Constable James Day said: “I would like to identify the man in this image as he could have information that could help with our enquires.”

“If you are the man in the picture or know who he is please get in touch.”

Anyone who can help police with their investigation or can identify the man in the image is asked to call 101, quoting incident 18*278821.
