The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Leicestershire, with ice and snow expected to hit the region.
The warning is in place from 4pm this afternoon and into Wednesday morning.
The Met office says ice is expected to form on some surfaces later on today and overnight into Wednesday, with further wintry showers forecasted.
Snow showers with sleet is expected early evening today, taking us into a cold and frosty night. There will be a light wind, with a maximum temperature of 4°C.
The temperature could drop to as low as -4°C by tonight, with snow showers likely to persist during the evening.
Wednesday morning is looking largely dry & sunny, with a bitter morning frost and a maximum temperature of 4°C.
